Have you come across something that shouldn’t be online?
Under the Broadcasting Services Act 1992, certain types of online content are prohibited. These include, but are not limited to: child abuse images, unrestricted access to pornography, illegal activities and terrorist-related material.
In cases where the site content is not hosted within Australia, the matter is referred to overseas law enforcement agencies.
What to do next
To report content found online such as images of children that you find disturbing, or content that you feel is offensive or prohibited, please contact the Office of the Children's eSafety Commissioner.
Reports made to the Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner may be referred to the police for consideration and possible investigation.
If a child is in immediate danger call Triple Zero (000).
